ReZist! RiZe Up! Join us on October 9 at 7 PM (our door opens at 6:30) for the amazing Roy Zimmerman!

Who is Roy Zimmerman? Imagine, if you will, Tom Lehrer playing a six-string piano. Or, if you’re not familiar with Tom Lehrer…

Roy has been helping America cope with political craziness with satire and song for over twenty years. He’s calling his show “ReZist,” bringing laughter and encouragement to progressive-minded people who need a lot of both in the Age of Trump. “Sometimes I think satire is the most hopeful form of expression,” says Roy, “because in calling out the world’s absurdities and laughing in their face, I’m affirming the real possibility for change.”

But not just satire; satire with massive assonance, polysyllabic rhymes, and unexpected key changes!

This will be a pay-at-the-door show, suggested donation of $20, with all money going directly to Roy. RSVP is required – please email us for directions.

NOTE: For those with allergies, there are two* cats in the house (though they tend to stay upstairs during concerts). Medicate as needed!

*Yes, only two. Sadly, Raoul the concert-lover is no longer with us.

Last out, first in!  Almost exactly a year after our last concert in the old house, Adam Ezra returns to join us for the first concert in our new one.

In January and February, Adam Ezra comes off tour with his band in order to play 40 living room concerts for fans all over the country.  He calls it The ‘Get Folked’ House Concert Tour, and out of many, many people who applied, they’ve chosen us to be a host. Again! (But in a new house, so it’s new to you.)

Here is an example of what he sounded like at our house last year. (Special thanks to Elmo for the video!) If you were there, you know you want to come back for more. If you weren’t, well why not come see what you missed?

Show starts at 7:00 PM.  $25 suggested donation, and all the money goes to Adam. Get advance tickets here. Seating is limited, so get ’em while they’re HOT! If you order before midnight tonight, then you’ll have a your tickets before midnight tonight!

Next, I go back and process the Native Run show too! Eventually I’ll get some scripts set up to do it quickly.

Another show in the old house!  While we wait for building permits, you don’t have to wait for Adam Ezra!

“For me, a great concert should feel like a conversation amongst everyone in the room,” explains Ezra, holding fast to the notion that the best shows are those in which there is a give and take between the performers and the audience.

This is a solo acoustic show, and so may well sound a lot like the music here. Of course it’s Adam, so the setlist will go wherever serves the feel of the night.
